April 18, 2024 – Alliance for Action members gathered at Forsgate Country Club Thursday morning to get the inside scoop with the PSE&G Gas Construction team.

Vice President of Gas Operations Brian Clark and Executive Director of Gas Construction Mike Gaffney provided details on upcoming plans for 2024 and 2025. With more than $900 million to spend, PSE&G will make investments in modernizing gas distribution systems.

PSE&G continues to focus on providing safe and reliable service as gas will continue to be essential to New Jersey residents. The Gas System Modernization Program (GSMP) replaces aged cast iron and unprotected steel mains and services which reduces operational risk and methane emissions. GSMP I and GSMP II have created thousands of jobs and invested over $2 billion replacing nearly 1,300 miles of pipe throughout New Jersey. The GSMP II Extension anticipates investing millions of dollars to replace an additional 400 miles by 2026.

The Alliance for Action will be back at Forsgate Country Club on Wednesday, April 24th to hear the US Army Corp of Engineers discuss plans for making the Garden State more resilient. Don’t miss the next Inside Scoop Series meetings with NJDOT Commissioner Fran O’Connor on May 2nd and NJTA Chief Engineer Mike Garofalo on May 8th.
