EDISON, NJ (September 17, 2025) – For the first time ever, Princeton University Associate Vice President of Capital Projects Bill Kale addressed the Alliance for Action, offering members a direct look at the University’s huge capital program and the construction opportunities ahead.

“The Alliance has always championed investment in New Jersey’s colleges and universities,” said Alliance for Action President Jerry Keenan. “These projects create jobs for our labor force, business for local contractors, world-class facilities for students, and stronger communities across the state. Princeton is strengthening the local economy every day while preparing the next generation of leaders in government, business, and beyond.”

As the new leader of Princeton’s multi-decade capital construction plan, Kale spotlighted both the University’s recent achievements and upcoming priorities. He pointed to the completion of several major facilities over the past five years, while outlining new projects such as the Quantum Institute and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Kale also emphasized a continuing wave of lab retrofits designed to meet evolving research needs and highlighted Princeton’s investment in additional research space in Hopewell Township.

Kale further underscored Princeton’s long-term commitment to sustainability, noting major steps toward a net-zero carbon campus by 2046 through new energy facilities, expanded solar, thermal pipe installations, and geo-exchange bore fields.
