Offshore wind is a growing industry but what does it mean for New Jersey?

June 6, 2024 – Thursday morning Alliance for Action members headed to Forsgate Country Club to learn just that. With a stellar lineup and panel discussion, attendees learned from the leading offshore wind developers themselves about the latest developments in building new energy capacity for New Jersey. 

The speakers included:

Our speakers highlighted the construction details, processes, and timeline that will go into building these wind projects. There are billions of dollars being invested in the construction of the offshore wind industry for transmission projects that will create thousands of jobs and provide a new energy source for New Jersey. 

Following the speakers, the Alliance hosted a riveting panel discussion of experts to an open dialogue of what building new energy capacity will mean for New Jersey.

The panel covered insightful information regarding the offshore wind industry including workforce development, community, challenges, and benefits of these developments.
