MONROE, NJ (February 11, 2026) – Dan Hesslein, Chief Engineer of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and over 30 of his colleagues joined the NJ Alliance for Action at its Inside Scoop meeting this morning to unveil details on the agency’s $24 billion capital plan.

“The NJ Turnpike Authority is investing billions into the infrastructure people rely on daily across the state. Those investments create jobs, fuel the economy, and strengthen one of the most heavily traveled transportation networks in the region,” said NJ Alliance for Action President Jerry Keenan.

Hesslein shared updates on major projects, including Newark Bay Hudson County Extension Improvements program. He said the current focus includes Project 1 (Interchanges 14-14A), Interchange 1-4 Capacity Enhancement Program, Garden State Parkway Operational Improvements from milepost 78.8 to 84.5, and Parkway Interchange 130 to 131 Operational Improvements.

He also detailed upcoming planned awards amounting to $1.6 billion in 2026, $3.3 billion in 2027, and $2.9 billion in 2028.

This morning’s meeting drew a crowd of over 300 guests who had the unique opportunity to meet and network with Hesslein and members of his team.
