May 8, 2024Alliance for Action members gathered Wednesday morning to learn about billions of dollars’ worth of upcoming construction investments at the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

NJTA Chief Engineer Mike Garofalo outlined several initiatives, including the Parkway Passaic River Bridge Rehabilitation, the Turnpike Newark-Bay Hudson County Extension Expansion, and the Authority’s Capacity Enhancement Program.

He also discussed millions of dollars worth of construction projects from now through 2028. Upcoming projects include bridge replacements, new bridges, deck and superstructure replacements, and other structure rehabilitation projects.

“The Turnpike Authority acknowledges that our infrastructure is crucial in connecting our New Jersey residents and visitors,” said Alliance for Action President Jerry Keenan. “The Turnpike Authority’s capital program is key to New Jersey’s future.  The Alliance for Action is dedicated to Building a Better Future.  The NJTA is doing exactly that.”
