Edison, NJ (December 12, 2024) — Filling Kevin Corbett’s shoes as President & CEO of NJ TRANSIT was never going to be easy, but Governor Murphy and the NJ TRANSIT Board of Directors nailed it with their decision to bring on Kris Kolluri.

Kolluri was nominated by Murphy and the NJ TRANSIT Board confirmed him during their meeting Wednesday. NJ Alliance for Action President Jerry Keenan and Senior Vice President Chris Hartman shared remarks during the meeting, congratulating Corbett on his successful tenure and extending congratulations to Kolluri.

“This is a great day for millions of commuters across New Jersey,” Keenan said. “I’ve had the pleasure of working side-by-side with Kris for many years. He’s a proven professional. Kris’ expertise, professionalism, and passion will help NJ TRANSIT reach new heights.”

Kolluri has an impressive background that positions him well to TRANSIT. He has served as CEO of The Gateway Development Commission, Commissioner of the NJ Department of Transportation, and Chairman of the NJ TRANSIT Board of Directors. He has spent most of his career as a leader in the transportation sector and his experience will be an asset.

The Alliance for Action has had a long standing relationship with NJ TRANSIT. As the largest transportation agency in the state, this relationship is vital to advocating for the interests of the Alliance’s membership. In turn, the Alliance looks forward to working with Kolluri to advocate for investment and innovation within New Jersey’s public transportation systems.
