Mount Laurel, NJ (November 12, 2024) – $1.5 billion worth of infrastructure development, renovation, and construction is coming to Burlington County. Speakers at the New Jersey Alliance for Action’s Burlington County Chapter Meeting announced upcoming projects and discussed road and bridge projects, hospital construction and utility work that will take place over the next several years.
The great news at this county chapter mirrored the robust record-setting figures released last week at the Alliance for Action Construction Forecast.

- Julie Herb, Vice President, Facilities Development, Virtua Health
- Steve Pokrywa, Territory Manager, Business Customer Solutions, Public Service Electric & Gas Co. (PSE&G)
- Hardev Dave, Executive Regional Manager (South) Division of Project Management, NJDOT
- Melinda Roslon, Transportation Bank Project Manager, The New Jersey Infrastructure Bank
- John Notte, Water Bank Project Manager, The New Jersey Infrastructure Bank
Burlington County Engineer John T. Brickley gave an overview of several projects that will improve, replace, or create roadways, bridges, traffic signals, and infrastructure throughout the county. These county projects alone amount to $150 million.
Virtua Health currently has over 100 active or upcoming projects. Julie Herb expanded on projects that will help optimize patient care including the Virtua Mount Holly Care transformation work to Virtua Lourdes Hospital, and the renovation of several outpatient facilities. Projects discussed totaled $491 million.
PSE&G is seeing large increases in data center new business requests, in large part due to the increased use of AI. Such centers are great users of energy. A large portion of these requests are being made across the state and in Burlington County. New Jersey has become a hub for AI due to its central location to major cities, access to high quality fiber, and grid reliability.
Hardev Dave gave status updates on several NJDOT Capital Projects and operations and maintenance projects taking place in Burlington County. They total nearly $600 million over the remainder of the decade.
Melinda Roslon and John Notte of the Infrastructure Bank presented on different loans options for upcoming municipal projects. Notte included information on 2025 loans for clean water and drinking water adding up to about $411 million in anticipated Principal Forgiveness Loans.
