May 20, 2024 – On Monday morning a standing-room-only crowd headed to Brookdale Community College to hear about the upcoming construction opportunities in Monmouth County.

The lineup included:

  • Kara Kopach, Executive Director, Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority
  • Commissioner Director Tom Arnone and Joseph Ettore, Monmouth County Engineer
  • Peter Montalvo, Senior Project Manager, Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind
  • Tina Earley, External Affairs Regional Consultant, JCP&L
  • Grace Hanlon, Executive Director, The Jersey Shore Partnership
  • Tiffany Lewis, Outreach Account Manager, TRC/JCP&L

FMERA is investing over $2 billion in the many redevelopment projects planned for Fort Monmouth including housing, office space, schools, healthcare, fitness, and the list goes on. Kopach also gave more details on Netflix’s plan and proposed timeline for the film construction in Fort Monmouth.

Arnone and Ettore expanded on the millions of dollars for transportation and facility improvements being made across the county including Halls Mill Road, County Courthouse, Library, and many more.  

Montalvo shared Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind’s plans for the development, manufacturing, and operations of wind turbine construction. 

JCP&L is investing nearly $2 billion and creating over 7,000 jobs through projects in New Jersey. Through the EnergizeNJ program, JCP&L is working on grid modernization, system resiliency, and substation modernization. 

Hanlon provided details on the work and mission of the Jersey Shore Partnership. Lewis gave more information on taking advantage of the energy efficiency incentives at JCP&L.
