June 20, 2024 – The Alliance for Action paid tribute to five trendsetters in the construction industry Thursday morning at the 4th Annual Salute to Women in Construction Awards Program. This event highlights dedicated and hard-working women throughout the industry from labor to business to government.

This year event chair Lisa Ballerini, President of Montana Construction, and the Alliance honored:

  • Liza Pope, Executive Vice President of Preconstruction at HC Constructors and newly appointed President of the Professional Women in Construction New Jersey Chapter
  • Stephanie Baldwin, Steward at Laborers’ Local 172
  • Alexandria Perotti, Director of Corporate Real Estate, Planning, and Development at United Airlines
  • Laura Mason, Executive Vice President of Capital Delivery at Amtrak
  • Lamis Malak, Deputy Chief Engineer of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority

Throughout each awardees’ remarks were common themes of growth, collaboration, and giving back. It’s crucial to continue recruiting young people, especially women, to the AEC workforce and providing mentorship to help them grow.

“The Alliance could not be more thrilled to honor such spectacular women at this program for the fourth year in a row,” said President Jerry Keenan. “Their leadership and work drive are true inspirations to the entire industry.”
