EDISON, NJ (October 8, 2025) – New Jersey Schools Development Authority (NJSDA) is investing over $3 billion in school construction across the state and shared details on upcoming work and opportunities to get involved at the Alliance for Action’s Inside Scoop with NJSDA Vice President of Program & Construction Operations Ramy Kamel.

“School Construction is a key component of the Alliance’s mission of building a better future.” said Alliance for Action President Jerry Keenan. “This work keeps NJ on the cutting edge of education and provides world-class opportunities and facilities for students to learn, all while stimulating local economies through job development and long-term economic impact.”

Following introduction from Inside Scoop Series Co-Chair Van Cleef Engineering CEO Cindy Norfleet, Kamel outlined NJSDA’s Capital Funding from 2022 to 2026 totaling over $2.4 billion.

Kamel said there is “something for everyone” across the phases of design-build, early site construction, procurement, design and planning with $1.75 billion currently in the pipeline for upcoming construction across SDA districts. The NJ DOE and SDA also approved $450 million in school construction funds to address facilities needs including HVAC, roofing, water heaters and more.

Major upcoming projects include new elementary schools in Trenton and Pleasantville, a new middle school in West New York, new high schools in Paterson and Passaic City, and major renovations to Bridgeton High School.
