LINCROFT, NJ (June 30, 2025) – The New Jersey Alliance for Action’s annual Monmouth County Chapter brought first-hand updates and details on billions in upcoming investment. The investments range from Shore restoration and resiliency to tourism, housing and healthcare.

“The projects our speakers outlined today are creating jobs, boosting the economy, and protecting the environment. They’re key to ensuring our businesses and our people thrive,” Alliance for Action President Jerry Keenan said.

Speakers shared details and updates on new and upcoming construction in the region.

Veolia Water New Jersey Manager of Engineering Michelle Dong said her company, which serves 5 million gallons of water per day in the region, is moving forward on numerous lead service line replacements and PFAS management solutions projects.

Monmouth County Engineer Joseph Ettore outlined the Monmouth County Engineering Division’s 6-Year Capital Improvement Program, including upgrades to roads, bridges, and facilities. The county is releasing more than 50 RFPs in the next 2 to 3 years.

Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) Director of Real Estate Development & Marketing Sarah Giberson shared updates on the agency’s $2 billion-plus Fort Monmouth Reuse & Redevelopment Plan, which includes housing, retail, office and healthcare spaces which will create 10,000 permanent jobs. She said Netflix Studios plans at Fort Monmouth are moving along and slightly ahead of schedule.

Jersey Shore Partnership Executive Director Grace Hanlon detailed upcoming beach replenishment projects and the upcoming tourism season. She also said the Jersey Shore will welcome over 125 million visitors this year, who are expected to spend $50.6 billion.

NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Assistant Director of the Division of Resilience Engineering & Construction Erick Doyle outlined coastal resiliency efforts, including $250 million investment in floodwalls and levees over the next decade.
