MONROE, NJ (June 20, 2025) – The Alliance celebrated the women driving the construction industry forward through meaningful work and outstanding leadership at the 5th Annual Salute to Women In Construction on Friday morning. This event highlights dedicated and hard-working women throughout the industry from labor to business to government.

“This is a fantastic event each year, largely because of the stories you will hear from each of our honorees,” said NJ Alliance for Action President Jerry Keenan. “The way each of these women have overcome challenges, those we all face and those unique to women in our industry, will without a doubt inspire and uplift everyone joining us here today.”

Each year event chair Lisa Ballerini, President of Montana Construction, and the Alliance are thrilled to honor five women for their contributions to the industry. This year’s award recipients were:

  • Kim Vierheilig, President-Buildings, STV
  • Deborah Visconi, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center
  • Dana Gibellino, Director of Distribution Portfolio Management, First Energy
  • Michelle Butler, Enterprise Account Manager, Burns & McDonnell
  • Maria Elena Foster, Senior Advisor to the General President, IUPAT

Each honoree shared stories of overcoming, earning her place, and building pathways for other young women in the industry. Although every story and road to success were unique, there were common themes of working together, uplifting others, and fighting for progress for women in construction, even in the face of adversity and doubt.
