MONROE, NJ (January 21, 2025) — County engineers oversee countless projects and billions of dollars in construction. At the New Jersey Alliance for Action’s County Engineers event today, three county engineers shared inside details on investments and opportunities coming to their regions.
Speakers included:
- Matthew Loper, P.E., Director, Somerset County Department of Engineering and Planning and Somerset County Engineer
- Douglas DiMeo, P.E., Atlantic County Engineer
- Joseph Ettore, P.E. Monmouth County Engineer
Somerset County plans to invest $48.7 million across 31 projects, including public parks, traffic safety and bridge repairs.
Monmouth County reports over $427 million in upcoming construction as its 6-year capital program comes to an end.
Atlantic County plans over $118 million in projects over the next five years. That’s across roads, bridges and restoring old dams.
